3rd Biennial Emergy Research Conference

THIRD BIENNIAL EMERGY RESEARCH CONFERENCE

January 29, 30, 31, 2004
Gainesville, Florida

Conference Program

Background:
This is the third in an ongoing series of biennial meetings held on the campus of the University of Florida every other year. The purpose is to provide a venue and forum for meaningful discussion dedicated to theory, principles, and applications of emergy analysis.

Meeting Organization:
The meeting will be organized into two and a half days of presentations (Thursday and Friday, January 29 and 30, and a half day on Saturday January 31). Papers on theory and applications of emergy analysis will be presented in theme sessions each of the first two days. The third day will be organized to present several papers and then an open discussion for an hour or so.

Papers and Posters
Participants are encouraged to present a 20 minute paper on new developments related to theory, methods and/or applications of emergy analysis. We hope not to have concurrent sessions, so the actual time for each presentation depends on the number of participants giving papers.

Posters are welcome as well. We will have an evening poster session, Thursday evening.

Publication of Proceedings
We will publish the proceedings. Each participant should bring a 10-spage manuscript go the conference. papers will be peer-reviewed, returned to authors for corrections and then published in the book of proceedings.
